UK Mortgages Abroad can help you with your purchase/re-mortgage of your Florida home. The following is a guide to the process that will take place.
 
1 When you have found the property you are looking for we will provide an instant decision in principle.
2 On acceptance we assist you in completing an application form.
3 We will process the application and an agreement in principle will be issued.
4 Statutory disclosures will be sent to you (i.e. Truth in Lending Act Disclosure) which allow you to see the terms of the loan in a standard format. You will be supplied with a Good Faith Estimate of settlement costs, which estimates all the likely charges.
5 A valuation report and Flood Certificate are requested on your proposed holiday home.
6 A Title Company is instructed to secure the title of the property you are buying.
7 You will then be issued with a formal mortgage offer (known in the US as a 'commitment letter').
8 Documentation including a Department of Housing and Urban Development Settlement Statement, the Mortgage and Promissory Note together with remaining documents will be sent to you in Britain.
9 The mortgage will need to be signed by you and notarised (witnessed by a Notary) and sent to the Title Company for formal registration. The Promissory Note, once signed by you should be sent to us.
10 The advance is sent to the closing agent to complete the purchase of your home in Florida.
