AMP Capital Investors has celebrated three years of managing the AMP Sustainable Australian Share Fund, proving investors can sometimes have their cake and eat it too.
The Fund offers investors the opportunity to invest in industries that provide solutions to social and environmental challenges together with leaders in traditional sectors.
The Fund has enjoyed top quartile performance against both SRI and nonSRI managers over one, two and three years to 30 April 2004 according to the Mercer Australian Shares Specialist Universe.
The latest ACI study has shown the median Australian socially responsible investment (SRI) manager has outperformed the S&P/ASX 200 Index over the past one, two, three years to 31 March 2004. The median SRI return achieved returns 2.2 per cent greater than the ASX 200 for the three years to 31 March 2004 (before tax and fees).
